...are the K Foundation. They actually did burn a million pounds. Why? - They don't even know themselves.

So why did I post it? It's not that I find it that cool to burn one million pound (although I find it cool), what caught my interest were the reactions of people, which were mostly some like


Why didn't they do something good with it?

As to say help people and so on, the charity thing as Jimmy Cauty calls is. Even more interesting, though, the response of Bill Drummond when it comes to people that starve and would have needed the money:


There's nothing less in the world other than a pile of paper. Us burning that money doesn't mean there's any less loaves of bread in the world or any less apples.

Ans he's quite right. All the food's there. All the bread, all the apples. The problem is distribution. But when it comes to money we are so caught in our monetary way of thinking that we already seem to think you could even eat money.
